CAVOS Stakeholder & Community Buildings Website Launch Event 2011

21st November 2011 @ St Paul's Centre, Spennymoor

This was a great opportunity to get updated on the work, achievements and services CAVOS offer, as well as finding out about our most exciting projects to date and sharing views and opinions on CAVOS and the services we have provided over the last few years,
Included as part of this event was the launch of the brand new South Durham Halls website with a sneak preview of the site itself and a guided tour around all the features that have been developed.

Combat the Cuts with CAVOS

27th May 2011 @ Spennymoor Town Hall

This market-style event was funding-focussed and included stalls from local groups as well as popular funders. It was informal, well attended and provided a great opportunity to network and share new funding ideas to help 'combat the cuts'. Innovation, motivation and celebration were the aims of the event (with muffins and tea thrown in too!)

CAVOS AGM & 10th birthday celebration event

3rd September @ St Paul's Centre, Spennymoor

In celebration of our 10th birthday, we hosted an event like no other! as well as our AGM official business, the event included birthday cake, balloon popping, champagne and entertainment by the fantastic Enter CIC dance company. We even had a few famous faces turn up to help us celebrate!

CAVOS Community Fair 2010

11th June 2010 @ Spennymoor Leisure Centre

Due to the popularity of our 2009 Networking Event & Funder's Fair, we decided to run our 2010 event on a bigger scale with even more stalls and more going on. The Community Fair was a great opportunity to network with other groups, talk to some of the North East’s top funders face-to-face and find out about local volunteering opportunities.

This well attended event was held in conjunction with Safe Durham Partnership and 2D. The event was a production of ‘Not in My Name’, a play depicting the community impact of a terror attack in a northern town and ending with a structured interactive discussion

CAVOS Networking Event & Funders Fair

This event was a great opportunity to network with other groups & talk to some of the North East’s top funders face-to-face including BIG Lottery & Co. Durham Foundation. The ‘market style’ layout allowed groups to set up their own stalls among the funders
