‘How to be a Brilliant Organisation’

This training is aimed at directors, trustees and committee members of voluntary and community groups of all different shapes and sizes and staff who support them.
Sessions cover areas of interest which include some key issues and topics:
> Attracting & Keeping volunteers
> Committee Roles & Responsibilities
> Good Governance & Trustee liabilities
There will be opportunities to ask about specific issues relevant to your group.

Sessions cover everything in easy to understand terms and aims to increase your confidence to apply for funding for your organisation and take the stress out of the process. Courses are FREE to voluntary and community groups operating within County Durham, however, places are limited.
Who is it for?: This course is ideal for people who are new to funding and also those who want to improve their funding applications. People who are experienced at accessing funding may also find this course to be a useful refresher.
About the course: This 3 hour course covers everything in easy to understand terms. Accessing the funding you need for your organisation can seem like a minefield! You need to know what to do, where to go and how to do things properly and it can be difficult to find the support you need.....well look no further!
The course aims to increase your confidence to apply for funding and take the stress out of the process. You’ll be given plenty of handy tips and tools to help you along the way and you can find out more about how CAVOS can support you through the process. It really will cover everything you need to know about funding!

1. Places on our training courses are usually limited to 2 per organisation due to the large demand for some courses (although there may occasionally be exceptions)
2. Where a fee is payable, CAVOS will invoice your organisation for the cost of the course - payments should preferably be made by BACS transfer or cheque (however, we will accept cash at our office where we can offer a receipt)
