CAVOS was established in 2000 to provide help, support and advice to community and voluntary groups, agencies and organisations across Sedgefield Borough.

CAVOS is an umbrella organisation for community and voluntary organisations in Sedgefield Borough.

It provides a range of services and support to community and voluntary organisations within the Borough to help them manage and develop their activities. The services we offer depend on each organisation's needs.
Services and support:

• Information and advice: covering all aspects of the management and development of voluntary and community activities. We also produce a regular newsletter and Voluntary Sector Directory and Directory of Workers in Sedgefield.
• Resources: reference material, 'Funder Finder' and other funding resources, administrative resources and display and presentation equipment.
• Training: a regular programme of training, accredited and non-accredited delivered locally, and tailored to meet your needs.
• Partnerships and networks: support to ensure voluntary groups have an equal standing and a real opportunity to influence
• Representation: support to enable organisations to put forward their views on decisions made at all level
